A Cry for Help
It only takes one phone call, and Navy SEAL Drake Avery is rushing back to Tennessee in the middle of the night. His sisters are in danger, and he will do whatever it takes to protect them.
A New Twist
Now is not the time for a relationship, but damned if Drake doesn’t cross paths with a smokin’ hot kindergarten teacher named Karen Eastman. Miss Eastman has Drake thinking naughty thoughts when he needs to have his head in the game. He never thought he’d be hot for teacher.
Demons from the Past
Part of the hell of going home is that you know everyone and they know you. Just when you think you can trust someone, they can turn on a dime. Old and new enemies are thrilled to discover Drake has a beautiful new weakness–Karen. But messing with the women in his life is a mistake. You mess with the bull, you get the horns.
Kat’s rating: 5 of 5 stars
*** I voluntarily reviewed this book, I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book, these are my honest ramblings and I hope you enjoy reading them – kat***
I have read 2 of the other books in this series, and not in any type of order, so if you start with this and want to read more in the series you can and not find it an issue.
Navy SEAL Drake Avery has an old fashioned view of protecting women, his southern roots and ways have had the women who are the partners of the Midnight Delta team rolling their eyes, sometimes but they know without a doubt that he would protect them with his life.
Drakes sisters are in danger and it’s time to face the demons of his past once and for all. (His childhood was horrendous) The relationship between Drake and his sisters is a powerful one, he’s watched them from afar for 12 long years, it’s time to face the demon’s who gave him no choice but to leave 12 years ago, he was one person now, but now he’s got backup…
He thinks he will be alone in that fight, he has been lying about his past for so long, but when he calls the team when he needs backup, he finds out that his secrets were not so hidden, and they are there to watch his back before he knows it.
While protecting his Sisters, Drake meets kindergarten teacher named Karen Eastman, he realises it’s the wrong time for cupid to strike his bow, but at least he was a sensible man and did not ignore it. Yes, he was overbearing to her at times, but Karen had enough ‘Teacher backbone’ to turn our Dashing SEAL into a naughty schoolboy when needed. And there were some laugh out loud moments when their personalities butted heads.
I read this book in one day, it held my attention and my chores were ignored till I finished!
Drake was a strong character that has gone through hell and back and never lost focus, his sisters were a priority even when he couldn’t see them in person. I liked his character in the other books too, but after reading his story he is well and truly on my Book Boyfriends top 10 list
Caitlyn O’Leary has gotten me addicted to her SEAL’s and I will be reading more of this series soon.
Caitlyn O’Leary is an avid reader, and considers herself a fan first and an author second. She reads a wide variety of genres, but finds herself going back to happily-ever-afters. Getting a chance to write, after years in corporate America is a dream come true. She hopes that her stories provide the kind of entertainment and escape that she has found from some of her favorite authors.
Her Series Include:
THE FOUND: – Kat’s Note – LOVE THIS SERIES! its AWESOME!!!!
It’s a bit Paranormal, a bit Sci-Fi and 100% Action/Adventure. The characters have special abilities, that make them targets.
MIDNIGHT DELTA – Kat’s Note – Becoming another favorite SEAL series
This is focused on a group of Navy Seals. What makes them special is their bond to one another, and the women they come to love.
FATE HARBOR – Kats Note – I have not read this series but if its anything like the above two it will be a hit!
This is the series that started her career, it is a Menage Series that takes place in Fate Harbor Washington. It focuses on a tight knit community who live and love and care for one another.
